This Pro-PM version of the Crown Bowl Gouge features a 1/2" cutting edge and a handle approximately 16" long, crafted from stained black ash for a comfortable and ergonomic grip. Made in England, these tools belong to Crown’s elite Pro-PM range, which utilizes advanced Powder Metal technology. This process compresses and sinters molten steel to create a cutting edge that lasts four to five times longer than conventional High Speed Steel tools. The gouge is hardened to between 66° and 68° Rockwell, providing superior wear resistance, excellent grindability, toughness, and high retention of hardness.
